Chocolate sauce:
This will be a common ingredient for many of the dishes,so you can prepare it beforehand and keep it ready.
Ingredients:
Heat the fresh cream in a pan until it boils. Keep the chocolate chips in a heat proof bowl and pour this hot cream and allow it to sit for 3 mins. Now mix the mixture, add a tsp of butter.Butter gives shine to the sauce. Mix well and the sauce is ready for use.
Caramel sauce:
Ingredients:
Be very careful when your doing this,as hot sugar can burn real bad.Add 1cup of butter to a hot pan and when it has melted add 2 cups of sugar and let the mixture boil away, use a wooden spoon to mix.Add quater cup of water and keep stirring well. Once the sugar has completely dissolved, remove the pan from the stove and add 1 cup cream and a pinch of salt to it n keep stirring until it's completely mixed.Sauce is ready. - You can double the recipe,if it's 2cups sugar then it's 4cups flour and 2cups sugar.
- Make it into small balls and place them in the baking pan.
- Once they are all set,use your thumb to make a dent in the center for the jam to sit.
- Now use a spoon to place the jam in the center. I used strawberry jam.
- Set it in the oven at 230°c for 8-10 mins keep checking after 8mins,use a fork to check if the dough is cooked or not.It doesn't have to be completely hardened u can take it before a min or 2 as the heat will cook completely after you remove out of the oven.
- Dont worry if the jam has burnt the bottom of your cookie, you can easily scrap it of with your fingernails:D.
- The last step drizzle some butter cream icing on top.
Merry Christmas&Happy baking!!
